BELFAST will be live and
kicking next month as even more celebrities have agreed to put on their football kits and take part in the mammoth SoccerMagic
event.
The three-hour star-studded
five-a-side tournament, which takes place at the Odyssey Arena on Sunday, March 7, is aimed at raising finds for CineMagic,
the world screen festival for young people.
CineMagic's newly-appointed
patron, Dermot O'Leary, will compere the event, while a host of celebrities from television, music and sport, will enjoy a
kick around in the name of charity.
Lathering up an electric
atmosphere at the match will be some of soap's hottest stars. From Coronation Street, will be Alan Halsall (Tyrone), Steve
Arnold (Ashley), Chris Gasgoine (Peter Barlow) and former Corrie actor and star of Channel 4's Shameless, Chris Bisson.
Among the Hollyoaks players
are Marcus Patrick (Ben) and Nick Pickard (Tony), while those representing Emmerdale will include Kelvin Fletcher (Andy) and
Ben Freeman (Scott). Some of the cast of EastEnders will also be taking part.
Other TV stars who'll be
hoping to score a goal on the day include the Royle Family's Ralf Little, Birds Of A Feather star Linda Robson, Big Brother
4's Ray, Federico and Scott and Pop Idol's Brian Ormond and Marc Dillion.
And from the pop world, DSide,
Phixx and So Solid Crew's Harvey will all take part, as will local personalities, such as Pamela Ballantine and Christine
Bleakley. More celebrities have yet to be announced.
